Consulting with Purpose
Mindy Larson
College and Career Counselor

Since 2007, I've been a dedicated educator and school administrator with expertise in college and career counseling across international and American educational institutions. With a strong passion for guiding students, I offer extensive experience that spans counseling, high school administration, and teaching. I've worked with diverse student groups, including special education and gifted programs, fostering inclusivity and nurturing individual talents. As a career educator, I graduated from Minot State University (BS in Science Education; MS in Special Education; Endorsement in Gifted and Talented Education) and University of Colorado (MA in Educational Leadership) and have professional memberships with National Association for College and Admission Counseling (NACAC), Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA), and National Career Development Association (NCDA) .
As a college counselor, it is my honor to walk alongside high school students as they explore their career and college options. My primary goal is to help each student navigate that journey in a way best suited to their individual abilities and talents, leading them to discover their passions and purpose towards a meaningful future. Their self-knowledge, careful research, and critical assessment of their own personal values will lead them toward a fascinating journey of discovery and opportunity.

The Convergence Philosophy
Picture yourself between two grand mountains: one symbolizes talents, the other passions, with a wide valley full of possibilities. The first mountain signifies various skills, from artistry to logic and athleticism, enriching a person's potential. The second mountain represents profound desires like environmental advocacy or storytelling, giving life purpose. Aligning talents with passions leads to reaching the peak where both mountains meet. This lifelong journey of self-discovery empowers students to realize their full potential and make a positive impact.
